Cerebral Blood Circulation with the New Drug
Pikamilon (Clinical Laboratory Data)

Abstract
Pikamilon was found to be effective in 25 patients with insultus and in 28 patients with
chronic insufficiency of cerebral circulation. Pikamilon action was studied on the basis of dynamics of the clinical course of the disease, of biochemical,
psychophysiological, electroencephalographical and some other results.
The positive effect was displayed in the majority of cases, no side-effects were registered.
The results of investigation showed, that pikamilon is not only effective but it is the necessary drug in the complex therapy of cerebrovascular disorders.
Besides this pikamilon can be used in treatment of different nervous system diseases, accompanied by emotional instability, sleep, memory and attention disorders.
Besides vasodilatative and sedative effects pikamilon possesses also
anti-hypoxic properties, that can be used in therapy and prophylaxis of different hypoxic states.
